Protest over rapist's pension bid

Protesters have gathered outside a court to show their opposition to moves by a policeman convicted of rape to try to secure his full police pension.

Jane said: "If Carruthers wins, I believe it should provoke his many other victims who did not get justice to sue him."

Carruthers was jailed in May 2001 for raping two women while on duty, but police believe he attacked 38 victims. He was freed from an 11-year jail term last year.
