Monster alert

POLICE are putting victims of rapist cop Adam Carruthers on red alert — over fears he is STILL a danger to women.
The shamed ex-inspector — caged for 11 years in 2001 for a sickening double rape — is due to be freed from jail within weeks after serving just two-thirds of his sentence.
But high-ranking officers who interviewed the beast behind bars fear he could still pose a threat — because he shows NO remorse for his brutal crimes.
Carruthers was suspected of preying on up to 38 victims — and police are now warning many of them to be on their guard.
Last night, one of his two rape victims said: “I know from the amount of violence I faced that he is reckless and evil and I believe no woman is safe once he is free
.
Shamed ... ex-inspector
“He must be watched, round the clock. I’m sure he will attack again.”
The fiend set alarm bells ringing when he was visited in Peterhead nick by cops from his old force.

Delusional
A Dumfries and Galloway police inspector and sergeant were there to assess his ‘risk factor’ and remind Carruthers to register as a sex offender.
But sources said they were left shocked by the dad-of-two’s attitude.
A police insider revealed: “He continues to claim he’s innocent and the victim of a conspiracy. This type of delusional behaviour marks him out as very dangerous.”
Another source added: “The police have been looking at the list of women that Carruthers was supposed to have raped, abused or harassed.
“Many of them really fear him and it was felt there should be steps taken to reassure them.”
The beast raped one woman — a special constable — at her home in 1996. She tried to kill herself following a phone call from the monster shortly after she reported him.
Carruthers’ repeatedly raped his other victim — the wife of a fellow cop — from August 1994 to February 1995.
She also attempted suicide and, incredibly, he raped her again the day she got home from hospital.
It is understood the fiend — who was sacked as a cop in 2002 — could be released next month. He’s expected to return to wife Margaret in Dumfries.
A Scottish Prison Service insider said: “He’s in denial, shows no remorse and has refused to participate in treatment programmes. Few people would argue he remains dangerous.”
Independent police investigators found Carruthers, could have attacked up to 38 women, although further prosecutions did not follow.
Last night, a joint statement from Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary and the local council said: “We endeavour to work closely with any victim of a serious sexual offence and offer support to them.”
Last night, an SPS spokesman said: “We cannot comment on individuals.”
