Rapist cop facing long wait for pension appeal decision

Rapist cop Adam Carruthers will have to wait months to find out if his controversial bid to claw back his police pension has been successful.

A three-day hearing into the former Langholm cop’s appeal came to an end in Dumfries on Thursday with Sheriff Kenneth Ross announcing he will give a “written decision at a later date”.
It is thought the result will be announced in the autumn.
